400mb disk space and 25gig transfer for $15 a month?
Wish they had a customer forum to see if it's worth it

I have heard good things about them on this forum. Do a search and you should see some opinions about them :)

Tera-byte, is exceptional for price and features. Though some say their support is lacking.

Tera-Byte is a reputable outfit and a number of folks here can vouch for them. My guess is that for $15/month and 25gb you'll be on a low-end RaQ server but for a personal site it should be fine.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with Tera-Byte. They are a sincere hosting company, and their packages are for real.
Just bear in mind that for that price they typically put more web sites per server than hosts which charge more in order to be able to offer that, but if you can not afford more and need a lot of bandwidth, they are the best way to go.

Speeds were pretty slow, and they really packed the shared server I was on.
Maybe that's why they can give so much bandwidth. Everbody on each of their overcrowded servers have to share the same pipe.

I agree with Janet. You won't get a "godly" experience with tera-byte.com until you persuade them to move your account to a server that uses less resources to prevent your downtime.
I have a 4u and 4r with them. While there where quite a number of issues I have experienced with 4u (slowness, slow admin cp, space issues and cgi problems), there 4r accounts are very good. I get about 4 minutes of downtime daily with the 4u account, and about 1 minute of downtime with the 4r. Go with the 4r.
