anyone using this company?
any bad / good comments about this online paymetn solution
cheers
i built a website for a client that for some reason bought their service before I even looked at it a couple years ago.
Great tools - very expensive. They're stuck in a contract w/ them for a while for like 200ish a month I believe they were telling me... and this client is a non-profit orginization...

EMS is a ripoff and rates is too high
I did signup, got the papers but refused becuase the rates is too high and etc.
Go elsewhere for better rates
yeah, EMS's rates are pretty high ... I personally wouldn't use them.

hmm there rates bellow seems ok:
Merchant Account Fees:
Base rate: Visa and MasterCard 2.50%
Transaction: $0.30
One time registration fee: $129
Real time processing: $49.90/month
(NO LEASE)
just wondering wat the hidden catches were
hmm... I know that when my client signed up, someone from EMS had to fly out and verify everything (maybe cause he was a non-profit org) ... what's their turnaround time on getting the money into your accounts?
Also - every refund you give costs you I believe - if they accidentaly click submit twice - you'll have to refund them once and loose money - as I've been told from my client.
What's their chargeback fee, etc...

That's not true, as far as I can see...I've just looked over my records and I see no charges for refunds whatsoever.
EMS is a bit more expensive but WELL WORTH IT. Most merchant account companies will only allow hosting companies to charge their customers per month. That means that you will have to pay per transaction/discount fees EVERY month...where as with EMS you only have to pay whenever you choose to charge your customers.
They also are totally packaged - you don't need a separate shopping cart system, you don't need Authorize.net or anything like that and you can do EASY recurring billing.
EMS is about the third merchant account we've had...and they are the best BY FAR. I don't mind paying a bit extra...because it absolutely saves MUCH MORE in the long run.

all I know is that my client told me they get hit with a charge for a refund...

I think that you need to re-read Tina's comments, specifically

because if that wasn't a recommendation for EMS, then I need to go back to elementary school.
