My sites have been growing quickly, and I will need to upgrade to dedicated hosting in about 4 months. But for the next 4 months, I need shared hosting. I would like to find a provider who can offer me both.

My requirements are:
1) A solid reputation. No felony convictions, serious downtime offenses, etc.
2) 27/7 customer support. My clients call me 24/7 when the site is down, and I in turn will need to call my host to get a quick answer.
3) Windows platform (site is built in ASP on Access).
4) BOTH shared and dedicated plans.

I am finding that getting all four items is DIFFICULT (especially when you throw in item #3).

I am willing to pay for the good stuff, but I plan to absolutely take advantage of customer support in exchange.

Thanks in advance!

LOL!

I guess that's important, but have you had a problem being hosted with convicted felons before?

Actually, I'm not sure if I've hosted with felons, but there's definitely the possibility...

This one host I had was absolutely terrible. Uptime was probably in the 80%'s...seriously. Every time I called, I either got a tape answering machine, or a guy who sounded like he was just getting out of bed...in the afternoon. One time I called and a woman picked up the phone, then screamed the guy's name accross the "server facility". I think it was his mom.

Shortly after switching hosts, while visiting the city in which the company was located, I decided to pay a visit. With address in hand, I went looking for the office, expecting the worst. Sure enough, I found it. The host had actually used the street address of his local post office as his company address.

...this is why I now say that I am "willing to pay for the good stuff".

I think you'll find www.ochosting.com meets your requirements, of course I don't know what your budget is. Although they offer dedicated servers, they only come with 20 GIGS of bandwidth included, which is as much as their virtual NT special...
