Hello,

I was wondering if anyone has a business plan or startup documents that they would be willing to share as a resource for others?

I have looked at a few MS templates for business plans, but I am not sure if the plans are workable for the web hosting industry.

Thank you for anyone willing to share!

So you want to build a hosting company.

*Plan for the business registration in your local area. (including getting a name, business office and office setup.)
*Get your company policies ready.
*Specify which Data Center/Network you'll use. Then get the server(s) you want.
*Specify which software you'll have and licenses needed.
*Get a 3PPP or Merchant Account
*Setup your hosting plans and pricing.
*Write down all costs involved
*Build your hosting website
*Setup marketing plan
*Accept Clients and Support them!
*The more customers, you increase your marketing tools.

I am not sure if that what you're asking about, but If there's a particular question, just ask.

In your business plan you could have the following:

Company objective
Mission
Keys to success
Company Summary
Company Ownership
Start-up Table (startup costs)
Start-up summary
What you are selling
Your market analysis
The business you are in
Sales forecast
Your marketing plan
Your management team
Start-up funding
Cash flow chart
Break even analysis
Financial Plan summary
Strategy and Implementation
And executive summary

Just a few to start off with. Too lazy to type out the rest.

File for bankruptcy now, you're never going to get anywhere. Why? Well you've jumped right in, without having a plan to start with - Fail to plan and you plan to fail, as they say. I don't see how you can aim to run a business without having a plan to start with (Sure, a rare few make a go of it, usually by wasting a lot of money to start with, and usually self financed, so no banks knocking on doors).

If I'm wrong, and you have planned all this, then just turn your notes into a formal document, easy as that.
