memory is low
Duron is old technology and slow
disk is small comparatively speaking
10 mb shared cogent - sounds like someone is buying a rack from a data center and reselling off that pipe from an upstream - no redundancy and 2 degrees of seperation from the provider
pricey for that level of service
how many support people are taking care of it and what doest the compnay look like?
how about reboots?

I hope whatever you are putting on this is ok if you have extended outages.

I agree with everything else, but a 1Ghz Duron slow? 1Ghz Duron = new Duron, should be pretty fast, even for a webserver.

Hi, aside from the hardware and network issues that others have raised already, most of those specs are irrelevent. This is a dedicated server right? Unless this deal is for a managed dedu, it is irrelevent whether python or some sort of asp interpreter is installed. If you need something installed - just install it right?

Same with lots of the other specs. They just don't make sense for a dedi:

unlimited mysql databases - well thank you, it is my server ;)
unlimited pop3, IMAP, subdomains, etc, ... ditto

Doesn't smell right to me - the marketing pitch is not right. It is given that when you get a dedi server, of course you can set up whatever virtual web servers (apache), mysql databases and accounts, etc, etc.

Shared? Shared with how many people? Half a dozen? Sure sign me up, shared with half a thousand? Forget that.

20 Gigs? bah why not at least 40? at the prices it's like a $10 difference between 20 and 40 anyway.

Again I agree with the other poster, the whole "pitch" is not one of a dedicated server, you control it there is no "unlimited this" and "unlimited that" required.

This sounds like a kingcomp.net offer.
