Dont you think this section could be moderated a little better? Some of the "Industry announcements" are nothing more than shameless plugs and hardly any kind of ground breaking press release to the industry...

Recent examples...


"BliksemHosting Announces Last Ten Days for Free Server Promotion"

-- This looks more like a shameless plug for a promotion than an "industry announcement".


"New Affiliate Program, Up to $439 Per Sale"

-- Since when did an affiliate program being advertised on WHT earn the title of an "Industry announcement"....


The description for the section ends with "no sales allowed". These look like sales pitches to me.

I agree, ive noticed this in the past, but was to lazy to say anything.

Those threads all have that little "Report this post to a Community Liaison" button that we rely on, so much, for members to inform us of threads that may in contrast to forum guidelines.

I think so. It should be a Moderated forum, as you suggest.

That would be the best thing for that section. Its not exactly busy so a simple moderation of each new post would work perfectly and not be much of a work load for someone.
