Anyone got any semi-recent quotes from Inflow - are they location dependent like Verio? Please email if you don't want to post them. Also, anyone noticed any difference in the diff't facilities - i.e. Denver seems faster than St. Louis etc

We house servers at Inflow in Saint Louis, MO and they do a pretty good job. I have never heard of any difference in speed at the different datacenters as they are all set-up the same way (same config & equipment) and use almost identical pipes. Their prices are steep (I think these are list); $1,100.00/Mbps and $1,500.00/Cab.

Hope that helps!

Chris, these guys have the best DC in San Diego that we found. They are also the only ones with a 100% SLA in our area. However we couldn't get them down on price. They are steep, too steep for us to host web servers in.

$1,100.00/Mbps and $1,500.00/Cab is where they start you. You can talk them down by showing competitive quotes from others. Let me know if you get BW below $900/MB. :)

That burstable?

Those are bustable model prices and you have to commit to 25% of the bust limit; ie. you pay for 1 Mbps and you can burst to 5 Mbps, you pay for 2 and you can burst to 10, etc.

Yes, as pointed out. They also have tiered at a different pricing model.

Those prices are correct we also house some servers at their Philadelphia NOC. Yeah they are not cheap, but you get what you pay for!! I have been with them for over a year now and have not had any downtime on their network!! I'll pay the extra for that service..

Not to knock inflow, because they are good.

But I havent had a outage on any of my networks and im paying much less.

On top of that the DC in chicago has never had a outage.

If you use a good company outages shouldnt happen regardless of price

If you talk to Inflow at the end of a month, or at the end of a quarter, (or even better, at the end of the calendar year), you can get great pricing on a fairly low commitment. The prices they gave me without much dickering was $990/cabinet and $800/mbps in Atlanta.

When we were looking at moving out of Fourthastage before deciding on our own datacenter, we were getting pricing form Inflow for $600MBPS and 650/Rack. They were trying to be competitive to what we were getting in Aperian(Fourthstage).

But, Inflow has their problems as well -- financially, so we decided on the best route for us.

Yes not to knock inflow they have some of the best facilitys and great people and a wonderful network if not one of the best, but they are experiencing financial troubles. But then again most huge data centers that arent full are.

Is that burstable?

Also, 650/Rack???? That is nuts. They must be hurting in your area.

A initial quote i had from them 10 days ago for Denver:

1/2 rack - $650
Full rack - $1050

1Mbps - $900 (installation - $500) burstable to 5Mbps

Yes, burstable, and it was for a full rack, not a half. We were looking at moving 10 racks and buying 15MBPS, but we didn't want to change from cone center that is bankrupt to a second that could possibly go that route. Inflow has an excellent structure and facility, but once bitten, twice shy, etc.
