I finally just switched from phpCoin to ClientExec, and I must say ClientExec is great.

Those are billing solutions, He is talking about accounting software.

I use Quickbooks Professional 2005 (Actually just bought it, I had Quickbooks Pro 2003 previously)

Another popular software is PeachTree Accounting.

Apparently Sage Instant Accounts is wonderful, (though I havn't used it myself), and is quite cheap.

I think MS Money used to do a small business version for the UK, but now that's only available in the US. I guess you could find a copy of the UK vrsion on ebay (I think they stopped it at version 2002).

How easy is QuickBooks ? I use Quicken Deluxe as this has some simple business functionality (VAT returns etc...), however, just had a letter from Intuit saying they've dropped future UK versions and suggest using QuickBooks.

I use quickbooks, its fairly easy to use, no problems so far. I dont think its worth all that money though, I just use it because I have very little choice.

How is QB2005? I am getting QB2005 Premier but it's not out here for another week or two.

We use QuickBooks Pro 2003. Tried Peachtree before QuickBooks, and I prefer QuickBooks over Peachtree.

Before you go buy any software make sure your accountant supports it. I made the mistake of buying 2 software packages before finding out that my accountant didn't support either!
