View Full Version : PHP programmers from India, how to find?

I have been reading a lot about the benefits of using Indian based programmers and that many companies are now outsourcing their programming for this type of solution.
I was wondering if it is possible for a smaller operation to connect with individual Indian based programmers, especially with expertise in PHP and MySQL.
Any suggestions about how to connect with such people?

Well, if you are looking for individual programmers, we have registered programmers from a lot of countires including several from India. Some of these are also small IT consulting/development firms. If you would like them to work on a specific project, just create your project to request bids by visiting our site (see the url in the signature below).

thanks

Do you mind telling us what the benefits are?

Benefits are: cost of course but it is not cheap, most Indians can speak/read/write english fairly well, there are a lot of technically trained people and the quality of work is considered to be good. I believe India is the second largest outsourced software exporter in the world (or something like that). Most larger US companies (MS, HP, IBM, SUN, Motorola....) have a base there and some (like Novell) do round the clock work via satellite because of the time difference. The rest outsource thorugh third-party consltancies and so on. Thanks now to the Internet and now we have a site where freelancers and small companies can also get the work done from anywhere in the world.

Hey man!

Its pretty kewl to know that people say Indians are good and stuff. I'm an Indian living in Pune, Maharashtra. You can do a check or something on me. :)

I know PHP + MySQL and am pretty good at it. One prob is that I'm only 16 (some how convincing my dad to me be on the net for an hour a day ;)) and may be you might consider an amature, but I'm not really. You can check http://www.dualsoft.net my webdesign company I just recently set up with one of my friends in Pakistan. :)

Hope I can something through you!

(WOW! I'm starting to love India now :p)

Hi,

Just to clarify, Indus Net Technologies is http://www.talash.net. The simmilarity between our site and that of 4guys have been well discussed over this forum :)

And yes, we do offer PHP programming services at very reasonable cost.

Hi,
You will not find to many big firms who program in PHP and MySql. The majority of firms will write code for you in Java.

The best way to reach indian individuals would be to make posts in forums like this. You could give devshed.com a shot to.

Also, if your yet interested, my company, does custom programming and has been doing it for over a year now. :)

Many of the indian colleagues are registered at www.rentacoder.com

Try to post a bid request here and you will find a lot of bidders that come from india.

talash.net is a big rip off of www.4guys.com !

If you say your a web developer, why not make a site for yourself?

I do not understand why hostforums has to comment on my website on this forum where someone has asked for a PHP programmer service.

If you are really interested in debating this topic, we can do it in a seperate thread. I will be glad to discuss and put my point there. We have done this in past and have no problem in doing it again.

As far as your doubt about our being a designer is concerned, i do not have any wish to argue on our capabilities. We have in past displayed our work and programming talent on this forum and away from here on several ocassions.

Kindly refrain from mud slinging on other providers based on your personal opinion.

can we get this thread back to the original discussion.

Abhishek
