What do you mean by 'it wont let me post my full message here'?

We have a 5 post minimum before you can post offers or receive PM's etc, because of spam reasons.

What do you need advice on? A host?

Ok here we go, my origional post,
I'm in 2 conversations here allready :stickout:

Hi guys,
I'm new here and new to reseller hosting.
I've been designing sites for a few years and my latest and most loved is gs-world.net.

I have it hosted on a 100mb free account provided by a friend.
I use cpanel which is cool and would definetly be looking for that feature to offer anybody if i provided space/hosting.

And I've been reading around and found out about whm, also whm autopoilet, which i would love but probably take me ages to learn and set up.

Firstly, i'm looking for space for my own use, but now i'm thinking, reseller hosting might be a good idea, as i'd be buying the space for my use, but would have the features to offer hosting if i wanted right?

I saw this site http://www.thetophost.net/ maybe they're a scam, they haven't replyed to my emails to customer care.

But arent those features lovely? I guess nobody would offer that much space for $22 a month?

All these are just thoughts in my head, hopefully you guys can help me get a clearer picture, but i'd love the features in the link above if possible.

I don't know what else to say right now, i've said enough.
Can any of you help me decide on a decent package please?

The theme on my site, which i just installed, has 3 boxes up top, offering nothing right now, but this kind of pushes me and gives me sleepless nights, i could have some offers in those boxes couldn't i?

I installed a points system with my php-nuke site, alot of people said it's a useless feature, but i'm thinking, if i offered members free hosting if they earned 100 points for partisapating in the site, that would really amaze me. they could subscribe for fre hosting then, and ofcourse i'd have alot of space to build my own personal mp3 section :)

Please adviise me, im a student and havent big money to pay out per month, the features at http://www.thetophost.net/ would be a fantastic purchase, if there was anybody decent offering such.

Later thanks for reading,
E. Marsh

Ask yourself if you really need that much storage, many people buys pick packages, but they never use them. (Waste)

Do you want us to decide a decent package for you from that website you gave us? ( Hard to say, but we do not know nothing about your site, and your quota informations )

Or you can ask us for recommendations :)

Hi,
My second idea, which i might have to give up on, should explain why i think i'd need soo much space.

I've been collecting and listening to a certin radio show since the 90's, recording onto cassetee :) all my favorites.
I found a site where they also have been collecting these 4 dj shows a month, and have been saving them as mp3 on their server or something, they make a packet from subscriptions to these mixes.

i contacted them and was told they're into 300gb+
that show is still on once a week.
I then found ftp access to the entire collection since early 90s, and he still collects.
If i had that much space, i too would slap a subscription on them lol.. how the hell can i do something like that? im a student.

But i really came here seeking advice on reseller hosting,
you saw my site hopefully? and that package at thetophost?

If i could have those features at that price, i'd be laffin, in my sleep. I'd offer my members the free accounts, and maybe some decent chance at sellin a plan or two, i don't know.

Thanks for reading.
E. Marsh

Thanks, that's a nice package too, now I learnt a little about vps.

Would you think i'd find a legit offer with those features and say 20gb space with plenty bandwidth for the $25 price range?

You got to be realistic a little. You want good up time, you have to know the hoster uses money to hire ppl to do the job. And you want large space for very low cost, it would seems that they print money in the first place to allow such business model.

Not trying to offend you , when hosters give you good uptime, they are normally expensive. If they give you large space, either they are overselling like mad or may be not. If yes overselling, server uptime might be affected , and for a low price, they cant really hire tech or admin to support good uptime.

I say spend a little bit more , for large space , if you really require it, tht comes with good uptime. =)

I know of a host who can offer 2 GB space for USD 40 a year with unlimited bandwidth (shared). Guess what.... yes, you got it
