about a year ago i registered a few domains with one and one thinking they were half decent.

I recieved a letter from them not so long back to tell me my payment has been rejected, and i had seven days to update my billing settings or they lock me out. Seeing as my card had actually expired, I logged onto the site and entered the new details of my new card, and sent an e-mail to billing as it requests.

Its now been a good week and i am still locked out. I have sent several e-mails and messages via the control panel with absolutely no reply, and tonight i spent 10 minutes on hold to them untill i couldnt take the torture of elton john any more and hung up.

Thier support is a bit pants, and i want to cry. Because of them I am going to have to pay another months subscription on my old hosts because I wont get the dns's changed in time, and that sucks. really.

As soon as my account is unlocked I will be transfering all of my domains and advise all of my clients to stay away from them!

Indeed 1and1 is not a good host ive heard from endless sources! Your not new in sayig there service is terrible etc! Personally id say well well away from them

oneandone is too large for it's own good at times, you notice that with the poor suport

Have to agree with markjut, Their Customer Support is really poor. Also their Web Interface is slow.

After a week of trying i finally get an email back! finally! then i read it...

you can see from the reply that they actually really read my email and really care about helping me out, instead of just using an automated response :rolleyes:

It seems as though your account has been frozen, this could be down to a billing issue, i would suggest you contact our billing department via e-mail at billing@1and1.co.uk stating your customer number or domain name. We would suggest changing your card details within our system if they have now expired and then in your email to the billing department let them know this and they can then try and take payment again.
To change your credit card details please follow the following steps :

1 Log into the 1&1 Control Panel at ***
2 Choose User Settings from the top menu
3 Select Payment Details from the main menu
4 Enter your new card details and click save

Our billing department is open from 9am - 5pm Monday to Friday, please contact them as soon as possible to resume normal service, this can be done by phone on 08708 503 305 or e-mail billing "Option 3"at billing.
