Does anyone know of a reseller that includes e-business software on it. Like Miva shopping cart and so on.

I would like to resell to people wanting to open up shop on the net, so i would need a company that already has the software on it.

Thanks

I believe OLM (http://www.olm.net) is quite big in the MIVA community...

Most companies have some form of cart or something these days though, although MIVA can go a beyond just your average shopping cart.

Miva can be a pain in the butt to learn; I'm using Hostcentric; uptime has been good, support is okay (all Miva support comes from Miva, not the Host) but I don't think it is the best dollar value from a reseller standpoint.

I'm on the Merchant mailing list; driftwood.com is praised for thier Miva support, as is hostasaraus (sp?) There are a few others that I could look up if you are interested. Feel free to PM me.

Hi sPoT,

What's your opinion of hostcentric?

We've been with NSIweb for almost 3 years now and they where bought out by hostcentric last summer. Since then support has gone down the toilet, I've had VPs call me and tell me that they want to renegotiate since NSIweb wasn't charging us enough for our dedicated. They've forced us to move out of the NY support center we've been using since day one, they want to start charging us for features that NSIweb supplied with the account, and they're very rude.

We're worried because of the support move to the Fl. support center. The only times we've used the FL. one has sucked and we heard from a former NSIweb tech that it always sucks.

Thanks,

Mike

Mike:

If you had a good deal on a dedicated, and they are forcing you off, I would get out of Dodge. I usually get my support emails answered within 24 hours, which is enough for me, as long as the server is not down or something like that. I have an email into the area manager again, asking for a competitive upgrade on the reseller account I have with them. We'll see what the answer is on it next week.

If I had to switch, and didn't want to purchase the Miva Engine myself, I would go with hostiam.com , driftwood.net or hostasaurus.com . These three host do much coding for the OUI module system, and know Miva inside and out.

Sorry to hear your troubles; better days lie ahead. Let me know if how it goes.
