Anyone have experience with http://www.wholesalecolo.com/

Their prices are fantastic at $89 for 1.5 mbps. I'm curious how good their facility is and would like to hear from any of their current customers.

how would anybody know? From the description, it looks pretty good. But to be sure, you need to see pictures or come to the facility. The cogent only bandwith, however, is not that preferable ... I would love to see some redundancy....

Well, I was hoping that someone would reply who has already gone for the deal and setup a server there...

Or are they brand new?

Also maybe someone is in the Miami area and could take a tour - I'm pretty far away and don't see taking a trip there. But at that price, even though there is no way I could have access, I am still thinking about getting a server and placing it there (There is no possibility for me to have access to any colo provider because of my location).

And I only have a modem connection here, so I'm not in a great position to evaluate their speed so maybe even if I can't find anyone who either has a server there or who might be curious and take a tour and report back, maybe at least I can get some feedback on their network (or are all cogent-connected hosts about the same speed? Or does it vary by city?)

LayerOne is a nice facility and they know what they are doing. While they don't provide bandwidth directly, they do give you access direct to the fiber runs which eliminates local loops.

Hmmm... this poll doesn't look so good. Even though there were only a few votes, I'm shocked that 3/6 said they were just horrible, and 5/6 said below average :(

As president of wholesalecolo, I would like to know who the horribles are. I have never had a complaint about our service. We all work endless hours to provide the highest level of service possible. We are in a top-notch data center.

I think these are people who are just voting. They might be competitors, they might be people who have never heard of us.

As for the person who started this poll, you can note that there are no negative specific posts about wholesalecolo.

If you can give me an ACTUAL complaint, I will be glad to address it. But until then, don't judge a company, no matter who they are, off of an anonymous poll.
