I plan on doing some browsing and searching through the forum on my own to see what ideas I can come up with, but I wanted to ask this question in the meantime. I understand this question has probably been asked 1,549,340,000 times, but bare with me :P

I work for a local corporate IT consulting firm, and we would like to offer local hosting services. This obviously isn't going to be our primary operation, and we're not going to be innundated with global clientele or anything...just an option for local clients.

We are planning to offer both IIS and Apache-based services. I'm looking for helpful front-end/control panelish software for both of these platforms (one that supports both platforms would be nice) that would fit the size of our operation. We're looking from as entry-level as basic management services (for us as administrators as well as the end-user) to more robust solutions that encompass such aspects as full account management/billing/etc. My guess is we'll probably end up doing the billing separate, but who knows, maybe there's a useful all-in-one product out there.

Any suggestions would be appreciated, and I'll try to field any questions as well as I can. TIA!

These are the best in my opinion :)

Control panel software:
IIS - Helm, Plesk
Apache - cPanel, Plesk

Billing:
Modernbill, WHM AutoPilot, Whois.Cart

When you host both windows & unix(or linux) , H-Sphere is by far the best choice. http://www.psoft.net

They have very good tech support, even for newbies. There is also several companies that offer management services - Including myself. I've been a H-Sphere user & admin for over 2 years now.

DynamicNet is one that comes to mind. Rack911 & ServerWizards also supports H-Sphere.

PM me if you would like further information
