View Full Version : Simple question about eNom Reseller Program
S-Comm 01-26-2005, 12:50 PM Hello,
as advised to use eNom reseller for domain names. I just have a simple question. How does eNom system work?
Do I have to put a prepaid funds into my account and my clients use my interface to register domains? or do I have to register manually after receiving payment from client?
I'm sorry, I don't know how to explain this better. I mean in other words, how my client will be billed for domain registration? and does this happen while they are signing up for hosting?
Good Luck!
:)
empresasdehosting 01-26-2005, 12:59 PM You need to prepaid 100 u$s via paypal, or by check the amount that you want...
Your clients can use an interface you provide them ( whoiscart, drams, etc...)and you will bill them via paypal or 2checkout....
Enom has PDQ a complete interface to sell domains....
S-Comm 01-26-2005, 02:00 PM Right mezil, thanks!
but I only have a credit card.
via paypal, or by check
..
dmaven 01-26-2005, 02:10 PM A point to note if you use paypal or CC, enom will deduct roughly 3%. If you can pay by money order or check this is the best way since there is no fee.
S-Comm 01-26-2005, 02:32 PM Thanks dmaven for the note.
eSology 01-26-2005, 11:29 PM Yes, 3% fee for credit card or paypal deposits (ex. $100 -$3 = $97 net deposit). As has been noted, if your not in a hurry you can send a check or money order for any amount and not pay any fees.
S-Comm 01-27-2005, 12:01 AM They updated their site. Now the minimum deposit appears to be $200, and max. $6950 which is to get the best discount. Am I wrong?
So I have to get the last one if i want to resell at $7 per domain. but what about other extensions too?
So to make a bit of profit, I'd resell at $8-$9 range which is already not being a competitive price?
I need some correction here. :)
WannaBaHost 01-27-2005, 12:15 AM You are much better off buying a resellers account from someone here unless you plan on selling over 1000 domains in the next year or so. You can pick up a $6.95 account for around $250 and then you will only have to predeposit the $100 if by paypal or cc.
If you want a free $7.95 and a complete registration solution visit www.dramsystem.com any of their plans come along with a $7.95. As far as profiting from reselling registrations there isn't any it's just an added service and this is the way you should look at it instead of making you rich because it's not going to happen.
S-Comm 01-27-2005, 12:23 AM That's so true. I'd look at it this way, value added service. while I focus on my main business. Thanks for your clarification.
Rain Maker 02-14-2005, 02:21 AM Are you guys using PDQ?
How do you handle support for customers?
Is there a support ticket system intergrated in PDQ?
mdadnan 02-14-2005, 03:38 AM PDQ site do not include support system as clients will be contacting you through email. The main page is cusotmizable so you can link to other website support system, if needed. Take a look here for what is available at a PDQ site.
http://www.enom.com/resellers
sample pdq site: www.sipence.com
Rain Maker 02-14-2005, 03:43 AM If I want to become a direct ETP and to manage my own domains only, what do you recommend?
Do I still need the PDQ?
Do I need to pay any processing charges to register and renew my own domains?
I am planning to get the $8.95 package
mdadnan 02-14-2005, 05:02 AM There are two ways to get Enom reseller accounts one being the ETP directly under Enom and second under another Enom ETP reseller account.
All Enom reseller ETP accounts (directly under Enom) usually cost more for example following is what listed under Enom website.
"Price per domain name for .COM, .NET, .ORG, .INFO, .NAME, .BIZ and .US with purchase of 495 eNom Points for $495.00."
That means you will be required to deposit $495 to obtain the Enom account and $495 will be available as funds under this account. Whereas reseller account under another ETP will cost less as it requires far less deposit of only $100 to start domain registration and management.
Domains can be renewed/registered for $8.95 under both reseller packages without any other extra fee. PDQ is required for any further reselling for domains.
It sounds like you only require a retail account which is cheaper in domain registration. Enom reseller cost price is $8.95 where as retail cost price is $8.14 lowest under a reliable ETP reseller.
Rain Maker 02-14-2005, 05:55 AM Where's the page on retail account?
I don't see anything on retail at http://www.enom.com/resellers/default.asp
mdadnan 02-14-2005, 06:26 AM $8.14 retail account can only be obtained from an Enom reseller or signing up a free account with Enom reseller PDQ site.
Rain Maker 02-14-2005, 06:36 AM Where do i get support if i get a retail account?
I want to contact Enom directly for support.
I don't mind spending $495 to get a ETA account.
mdadnan 02-14-2005, 08:30 AM click new account (http://www.enom.com/newaccount.asp) and signup a new account at Enom. After logging in go to help (http://www.enom.com/help/) section and click on "eNomŽ Support Center" where you will be able to contact Enom support.
