I am putting two of my latest advertisements on here in JPG format. Keep in mind that mine is not just web related, I do all types of computer work.

I also use a tracking number when these are actually printed to tell me what parts of town I put them out in. And, in the mailing address Department 05A tells me that they were referred by my first advertisement of 2005. Helps me to track response to various methods of advertising.

Hope this helps.

almost looks like the lunar pages logo on the bottom left of your ad..

The print shop I use found that logo in one of his clipart or graphic disks when I was looking for a new logo. If it is copyrighted by a company, I will be glad to change it.

I looked at lunarpages.com and could not find a resemblence to my logo on their page. Please direct me to the logo you were referring to.

Many thanks

You have a globe-like similar kinda thing in the corner. Obvious infringement.

Unless LunarPages TradeMarked the atom... It's not infringment

I'm going to send out fliers soon, based on templates for MS Word. It's lame, but functional :emlaugh:

I have a Graphics Design student from UMD doing a Corporate Identity project for me that is going into his senior portfolio. In it, I'll be getting a new logo, web layout, online advertisements, print advertisements (flyers, newspaper ads, posters to go up around town etc).

I'm pretty excited.. and best of all, its free :) If the project goes good, I may hire the guy after he graduates to do web design work for me.

I think we got away from the original intent of this message. And am I the only one that has an advertisements or willing to share what I have? I could use some ideas too ... other than my logo being a possible copyright infringement topic. But thank you for the feedback anyway.

I was kidding with the infringement comment.

I just put together a basic sales letter with a logo, a bit of color to make points stand out and a price offer. Nothing too wordy or flashy.

Here is an old version of my mailer I sent a while back... just opened it saved it as a jpeg... so some of the layers are missing... but you get the idea.

frogbert: Sorry I didn't mean to start such a controversy... it is not a duplicate, just similar (I wasn't saying that because I thought it was a rip)

as for our mail outs:

WebDatum

Do you target specific type of people or business to send the ad to?

no that was my biggest mistake... this was sent out and didn't really havea target or specific service... remember, you have to talk to your public. this was just a big sign in a crowd.

will do better next time... the other side did have some web design info on it. but not alot... had to leave room for the address and permit to be printed.

frogbert2002, I'd have our attorney contact you about the copyright infringement but I don't see any resemblance :P

I don't have any copy handy for the few print ads we've done.

Thank you Kathleen|LP for the reply. I didn't see anything that would constitute infringement but it is nice to hear it directly from Lunarpages.

I have not used the logo on the website or anything other than a single advertisement at this point and now looking at making changes to it so that it will not be confused with anyone else again. Since we are in Alabama I figure I could throw in a redneck sitting on top of the server or a couple of pickups or maybe even an outhouse. Just kiddin ...

Thanks again.
