I am switching to a new host, but I dont know how to change the domain name to point at the new and not the old one. My domain name is valuebasment.com

I registered it and hosted with BizHosting, the service sucks there, but i would like to keep the domain name, i dont see anything in the admin setting to change it. Could anyone help me?

It looks like the domain is registered at register.com. Go to their site, login to their management area, and follow the instructions to change your name servers. Sorry I can't give you exact steps as I've never used their system.

According to register.com:

You simplly log into your Domain Manager : http://mydomain.register.com
=============================================
Log into Domain Manager using your user name and password (typically established during the domain name registration process), and then click the Modify DNS link on the main screen. You will need to be prepared with the names of the DNS (Domain Name Servers) that you would like to list as authoritative for your domain name - information typically provided by your ISP, Web hosting company or network administrator. Enter or replace the name of the DNS that you intend to have listed as authoritative for your domain name.

Note: In order to edit the DNS listed as authoritative for your domain name, you will need to have access to the current email address on file for the domain name. You will need to be able to access this email account in order to complete a confirmation process that has been set up to ensure that the requested DNS change is authorized by a current contact on file for the domain name. This confirmation email will be sent to the email address on file for the domain name and will include a URL link to the last step in the confirmation process
=============================================
Remember to follow the email instructions they will send.

Yes. It appears as though you do own the domain.

Goto http://network-tools.com/

Check the radio button next to Xwhois,
enter your domain name in the box, then
click submit.

The registrar of record information is always current in the whois service at internet.net.
