Hi,

I am just interest to know do you design your own company logo or ask a design company to design for you?

Is money a major consideration?

Best regards

We hired a professional web design firm. But if you are a good designer, I see nothing wrong in designing things yourself :)

Theres places online that do it for under $200 search for "logo design"

we had a good hard look and what we are and what we're projecting. then we sat down and designed our own.

It is recommended that you design your website logo with professional graphic designers.

Hi!
I did design my own...and I designed my web sites as well.
I've always drawn...and cannot draw on the screen with a mouse.

All I did was draw it on paper..then scan it in and modify with photoshop and Illustrator.

You may or may not be able to do it yourself as I did.

I hired a logo design company to do it for me. I'm graphically challenged, so it's not like I had a choice :stickout:

I paid $50 and I'm very happy with the results.

I've had an in-house graphics designer that is a close friend of mine for the entire four years I've been in the hosting industry. In 2003 we had to redesign our logo due to our company change, but I'm really happy with the simplicity of it - I don't use it anywhere else other than our business cards, stationary, invoices, and mailing labels/envelopes though.

Had a so-called pro do it once. That was pointless. Currently I'm using one I did myself.

I designed one that was, in my opinion, much nicer than the one on our Web site now, but had to sacrifice it for a much simpler, and smaller, design in order to make it work well with the overall site design. If you have the graphic design skills, and the logo matches what you want to say about yourself, design it yourself. There is no need to waste money on a custom logo design by a professional if you can get the result you want without hiring someone else.

We tried making our own - it was terrible, so we hired a graphics designer :)
