It's in Arabic, and the "English" link doesn't seem to work (I tried from both Mozilla and IE) - but judging from your handle I suspect you are probably able to read Arabic.

Unless you really really want a .sy domain, I suggest you wait for now, or get a .com/net/org domain that has sy in it, like what everyone else is doing, reasons:
1) You have to specify DNS servers in the form, you can't change them later using a web interface.
2) .sy domains cost a fortune, ~$100.0/year, which is silly IMO, no wonder no one is buying those.
3) STE website is down most of the time, I guess .sy domains may suffer too.

I can go on and on...

100 dollars a year is not silly - it's about average for small registries serving small communities (whether small in terms of actual population, or small in terms of Internet infrastructure). Look at any small island ccTLD (other than those that pretend to be GTLDs) and you will find that average prices are from 50 dollars upwards. You can't compare small ccTLDs with .com (or large country ccTLDs like .de)

PS I know Syria is not an island - but it's a small community Internet-wise.

Well, not always down, but downtime is quite common for STE site.

And yes, I believe $100.0/year is overpriced considering the average income in Syria.
