View Full Version : my experience with ehostpros.com
psionic 02-20-2002, 05:04 AM Hi,
I thought this would be the best place to publish my experience with web-hosting companies.
A while ago I started hosting at a donhost reseller... yes, I know about their reputation. After a few weeks I had to move because my account was cancelled. My new host is called ehostpros.com. Here I no longer have unlimited bandwith or anything that's just too good to be true. But they have a great hosting plan with enough traffic at a really affordable price. One thing that was important for me was the connection speed. The connection is lightning fast even so the server is located in the us and I'm living in germany (if you want to check it yourself, my url is: http://sheepsite.de). Another thing that's absolutely great about this host is the excellent support. There is a live-support available from the webpage. All my problems where solved within minutes.
If you have further questions feel free to contact me...
jochen
P.S. I'm in no way affiliated with ehostpros.com. I'm only a satisfied customer
21inchguns 02-20-2002, 08:59 AM well it is good to hear something positive about a host for once............
bstyln 02-20-2002, 05:46 PM I saw their offer on WHT and I thought I would try them out on my site e-homebizz.com. There live chat has really helped me out setting up my hosting account. I really recommend this company to anyone looking for hosting.

Janet 02-20-2002, 09:10 PM I saw their offer on WHT
What's this special eHostPros offer? I've heard about it a couple times recently, but couldn't find anything from them in the special offers forum.
21inchguns 02-20-2002, 09:19 PM Janet,
Maybe it is the one in this thread:

phobeas 02-20-2002, 10:48 PM is it just me or does ehostpro.com look a lot like catalog.com?
and it does sound like a sales pitch :) However, I don't want to speculate since who really knows! They're prices sound pretty good, does anybody else have any experience with them, good or bad?
Hieru Youko 02-21-2002, 01:55 AM I just recently sign up with eHostPro (http://www.ehostpros.com), and I'm very impressed with them!!
I have a lot of question since I'm a beginning webmaster, and Rupi from eHostPro always gives me the best answer without even a slight irritation. Also, they have Live Support, which solves many of my questions instantly.
Not only that, their prices are so low and they have a really fast connection. I am even more impressed with the features they give you (such as MySQL, SSL, SMTP...etc.) with prices under $20/month.
By the way, I'm not getting anything free posting this message. I simply felt that they need some encouragement and I should share this good news. ^-^
So pay their site a visit!
Relyc 02-21-2002, 01:59 AM What is your domain name?
Blazing 02-21-2002, 02:00 AM Oh goodie goodie,

But I'm still in the process of transferring it. ^^
Hieru Youko 02-21-2002, 02:05 AM This is my temporarily URL with them:
http://server1.ehostpros.com/~silverillusions.com/
It's real fast too!
Change 02-21-2002, 02:07 AM Umm.. this is kind of a stupid move from this company. Look at the amount of posts the writer has.. (3)
Okay, now look at this thread:

See any resemblance?

Looks like I'm getting some backup from my thread here:

Lats...
Hieru Youko 02-21-2002, 02:14 AM That's very rude of you to call people stupid, thank you. Besides, check the IP of that person who posted the thread you're referring to and then check Rupi's IP, will you? You'll see it's two different people.
How do we do that?
Lats...
Relyc 02-21-2002, 02:54 AM I for one find it strange that none of the people with only 1 post that are commending ehost have no URL listed and yet 'are very impressed by their service'
Granted the one person said he is still transferring his domain, however the temporary url doesn't work?

Yep, you have the right for your own opinion. And yes you can blame me if something went wrong (if this helps you... go ahead). You can check the whois entry of my site... I'm really living in germany and the company is really located in the us.... If you still think that I'm a sales person than hey... maybe I should go in this business :D

I'm sorry that I only have 4 posts... Everyone starts with 0 post I guess. During my search for a new host I've found this forum... that's why. All I wanted is to share my experience... I guess that's what this forum is for, right?

If you want to check the performance of the server, etc. you can use my site (http://sheepsite.de/~psionic - yes this is a user account... I just dont want to send my site-admin password over the net every time I upload the site. You can also use http://sheepsite.de. This will redirect you to the same location). As mentioned above, I haven't received anything for posting here. I just wanted to post my experience...

It's not that I blame you for having so little posts. It's just that this way it's quite impossible to check if you are a true customer or just a sales person for the company. I find it highly suspicious when two threads are opened (merged to one now) where two different complete newbies speak so highly of a company, as if they were selling the service... the stories just didn't sound like true stories at all....

Oh, I see... than sorry for that. I haven't read the other threads lately because I was quite busy :o. I hope you will see in my future posts that I'm not interessted in selling something.
