No doubt you will receive replies to this thread with recommendations. However, you really should make use of the search feature of the forums too. There is so much info archived in these forums - it's not funny. If you have a shortlist of providers you are considering you can use search to find all the posted comments about that host since the beginning of time itself.

That said, perhaps you can consider and post more information about what you are looking for.

Are you looking for a dedicated server for web hosting? If not, what are you looking to use the server for?
Do you have a particular control panel in mind that you want to use?
Have you researched control panels (if that is relevent to you)?
What bandwidth requirements do you have?
What level of support are you looking for, what level of sysop expertise do you have?
What level of service do you need - managed, non-managed, but timely and helpfull assistance, none.
Which OS?
What is your budget?
What type of network do you need to be hooked into? - top-notch to the world, decent for US surfers, whatever fits my budget?
