Looking for a new host, wondering if you guys had any suggestions? Don't need a tremendous amount of diskspace (the standard seems to be around 50MB), but bandwith was becoming a problem with my old host (webstrike), so I'm hoping to find someplace that will give me at least 4-5GB. I found a bunch offering unlimited bandwith, is this something to be wary of? Also, some hosts offer free domain registration, which would be nice, since my domain is expiring as well. Looking for as cheap as possible, certainly not more than $10 per month. Any suggestions?

my only suggestion is that when you see hosts offering unlimited bandwidth, leave their site immediately............

Thanks for the suggestion! Softerweb looks like it fits me well, and $4.99 a month is tough to beat. I register elsewhere and still save money...
Onto those unlimited bandwith sites... Does anyone use one that doesn't have problems? There seem to be a bunch out there, and I wasn't aware that there was a problem with them until I came to these boards. Good thing, sounds like they're risky business?

Keep in mind with hosting you usually get what you pay for. At $4.99 a month I would not be surprised to see you searching for another host pretty soon. Just food for thought. Kinda like buying a Geo and expecting it to perform like a BMW.

LOL ... :D
I'd always thought that 9 bucks was the lowest I'd want to spend. Anything under that - I'd be weary. If they offer you like 10GB bandwdith and 300MB of storage, plus a bunch of other stuff for like 5 bucks a month, I personally wouldn't buy it - don't know if I could trust that.
Another good host who is fairly new is Hostwurld (http://www.hostwurld.com).
I have little experience with setting up sites and found them to be very helpful in explaining what I needed to know. They were also quick to repond to enquires.
