I got a "small" amount of time on my hands and a new vBulletin forums. I was wondering if there was any sites out there that helps teach this? Or is this something you got to "tackle" by yourself? If you can, provide some experience and suggestions :).

I am curious about this as well. I have to skin a few soon and haven't found any decent "How-tos" on the net...

I did spend some time looking thru their code and for the most part the XML files in the install directory have most of the html... still looking for a few of those variables and where they are parsed - $header - $footer - database maybe?

There's a skinning cp in vB, the only thing you need to know is HTML, CSS and some common sense really.. :)

Um... I am aware of this, but there is tutorials for everything and I am just curious where to find them at. But you got to know what your doing hine why they is How-Tos and tutorials.. And as Marble said there is also XML so you forgot to mention that...

Well the XML is just a handler for the html... if you open the xml file (forget which one) it lists each section of html between template tags...

Well, since all skins are different there isn't really a tutorial for skinning, my good friend is making a full IPB skinning tutorial though, but that probably won't help you much.

As I said, the only thing you need to know is HTML, CSS and some common sense really.. :)
