Anyone got any good recommendations on who to purchase an 800 # from? gghosting 01-22-2005, 07:00 PM kall8.com I never used them but I heard they are good with their services and prices. Corey Bryant 01-22-2005, 07:58 PM We use Freedom Voice. I have called them a few times to ask question on how to operate their system and very pleased with their support. When we were deciding we basically did a search & never really got people's opinions. I called a couple of the people and I was really pleased with everything that Freedom Voice told me as well as some of the companies they support. Plus they keep adding new features as well GP-JT 01-22-2005, 09:15 PM I've used angel.com before and they were excellent. bqinternet 01-22-2005, 09:32 PM We've used kall8 for about 2 years. Whenever we receive a voicemail, they email a WAV file to us. It's very convenient. DDT 01-22-2005, 09:44 PM Vonnage, hands down. Cheap 800# rates with a long distance plan plus when you have to return calls (like I have had to do about 30 times today, all over the country) it's free. And all the "goodies" like call waiting, call forwarding, etc. are included, not extra like with a "phone" company. And so far not one person in 3 months has ever said a word about me not being on a "land line". You can't tell the difference (if you have a good high speed Internet connection) You also have an option for an alternate number you can enter so it will forward calls to it in case your Internet goes down. I have a good DSL plan and I've never had a noticeable slowdown or any sound quality problem with as many as 3 or 4 windows open checking emails, looking at a customer's control panel to see what they messed up etc. all while talking on the phone & "holding" another call on call waiting over the same connection. Saves me money every month, and anything that does that gets high marks from me. CactusCounty 01-22-2005, 11:38 PM Another option would be tollfreelive.com. Great customer service from these guys.... amusive.com 01-23-2005, 12:22 AM I like kall8. Although I do use Vonage for my landline (which is what kall8 directs calls to). To add on an 800 number the price is $5, which is a bit more than kall8, plus kall8 has some rather excellent features. kall8 + vonage make a great combo though! Amish_Geek 01-23-2005, 01:21 PM Talk to your phone company. My toll-free number was free with my phone line. markjut 01-23-2005, 03:21 PM I believe that Kall8 is used by a lot of hosting companies. I looked into it myself but decided it wasn't worth it in the end. lwhite 01-23-2005, 03:34 PM Weused to use tollfreelive for about 3-4 months, but they didn't have all the features that we needed We now use GotvMail and couldn't be happier. It is loaded with features and the price is acceptable. chadg 01-23-2005, 10:44 PM For rates, presales and support I think www.tollfreeexpress.com is the way to go. amusive.com 01-24-2005, 12:27 AM Are you sure you don't work for tollfreeexpress? You seem to post an awful lot about them. chadg 01-24-2005, 12:42 AM Nah, i'm just happy with the service, i've been with another provider that treated me like cr*p. I am no expert in the other aspects i see here so i mostly just read and learn. christowang 01-24-2005, 10:44 PM World Wide Phone (http://www.worldwidephone.com/) is a small reseller that can help you pick from a few companies to get a plan that will work with how you plan on using your toll free number. eservicesu 01-24-2005, 11:54 PM A perfect combo is Vonage + Kall8 if you ask me. Thats what we use and its amazing. - Eddy kewlu 01-26-2005, 07:24 PM I like tollfreeexpress too. Just started using them for some stuff and they've been excellent. :-) Alan |
