I have a query.

I was looking to backorder a domain using snapnames, but to my utter dissapointment some *gimp* has already used snapnames to backorder that domain, any got any ideas as to what I could do.

a) is there any other service to use?
b) should I just keep monitoring the domain hoping it drops and register before snapnames?
c) would b) be possible if the registrar is netsol?
d) forget about it :(

thanks in advance

Imran

There are alternatives to SnapNames.

Here are some:

NameWinner
NicGenie.com
eNom Drop Club
IARegistry
AWRegistry
Signature Domains
INWW
OnlineNic.com
AddressCreation
AllDomains.com
Eastcom.com
PayCenter.com
ExpireFish.com

Some people will tell you that SnapNames owns this market. This might be an interesting time to test that theory.

Pick a couple of these alternative services, and let us know if you get the domain or not :).

The problem of course if this is a NetSol domain name is that you can never tell when or even if it will even drop. There are rumors that NSI is not going to drop anything now until the Verisign WLS service is approved for trial. I don't know that there is any truth to the rumor, but it keeps popping up.

Good luck!

There haven't been any new drops in ages.

I thought NSI would only drop their own and not other registrar's names.
