I'm trying to setup a catch all email account on a client account on a raq 4 (putting @www.somedomain.com) in the alias field, and it is not working. Email otherwise works fine on this domain (and other domains on the server). I have the mail server domain alieases setup in the "site-settings" of the domain control panel.
Any ideas as to why this is not working? I have catch all working on a raq 3 with no problems, is it setup different on a raq 4?

Here is a return mail error message I am receiving:
Diagnostic-Code: SMTP; 554 5.0.0 rewrite: excessive recursion (max 50), ruleset canonify
Last-Attempt-Date: Tue, 19 Feb 2002 16:22:17 -0500

Don't know if that means anything.
Any help is appreciated.

In the site settings if you put the server or mail alias www.domain.com, this will happen. It is different than the 3's because all you did there was "enable email for domain" or something like that..

Your settings in the site settings should be

host- www
server alias domain.com
email alias domain.com

Do not put www.domain.com in either.. Obviously, you might have other things there too like sub domain aliases or other domain names, but for the purpose of discussion, just don't include the www.

In the control panel, email parameters, put in the www.domain.com in the "host domain alias" field..

domain.com in relay field..

Should do it.. It might take nuking the settings for that site, then restarting mail service a couple of times, then starting over..
