A cobalt RA4 with 1 Gig of Ram and an single
80GIG IDE hard disk for $379 per month with a
$299 setup.
These are real cobalt RAQ4 units NOT white boxes.

What are the advantages of using cobalt RAQ then more expandable/upgradable/powerful white boxes?
I just knew that RAQ can take up to 1GB of memory ...
PS: You haven't mentioned the amount of data transfer/bandwith included in your offer ...

interface. It is much easier to manage for you
and your customers.

Cobalt Networks, the maker of cobalts, also offers you a free updated security patch page and a lot of online help. Cobalt Racks also gives you a local patch server so that it is quicker.

According to Sun/Cobalt, 512M is the max a RAQ4 can handle. Did you redesign the motherboard to accept 1G?

Hello,
We've added an extra BIOS module and use 2 512Meg DIMMS.
The only cavet is the memory display under the blue C icon
will list 999Megs. (A limit of the cobalt GUI). But running
top from the console will show 1 Gig of memory.
Other information about them and how it's done is proprietary.
Expect more cobalt inovations from CBR shortly
