Hi All,

I have been monitoring a domain registered with network solutions for a while now, and 1 day after domain expired, the expiration date was extended one year to 2006, for which I thought the owner extended the domain...

However, when I looked at the whois information today, I saw the following:

Registrar: NETWORK SOLUTIONS, LLC.
Whois Server: whois.networksolutions.com
Referral URL: http://www.networksolutions.com
Name Server: NS1.PENDINGRENEWALDELETION.COM
Name Server: NS2.PENDINGRENEWALDELETION.COM
Status: REGISTRAR-LOCK

What does this mean? Will this be available after a while? If so, why is the expiration year 2006? Any ideas?

TIA...

Network Solutions and Snapnames have an agreement. If the domain was decent it never dropped (NetSol didn't release it to the Registry) because it went to an auction with Snapnames. I picked up a few this way but the bidding is absolutely outrageous! People are bidding hundreds of dollars on junk domains that have fake overture. The real good domains hit in the thousands. It would take three years just to recover your bid.
