Hi all,

Had a bad day today man. I had a bidder on eBay demand a refund, and when I refused (he had damaged the item himself), he left me a neg.

Mind you, I've only got a rating of 49, but that is my first and only neg. Now I feel just soooooooo cheesed off after 4 years of trading on eBay. I'm offering to pay for a Squaretrade mediator 50-50, but I bet we'll just get more headaches than ever

Sorry for the rant - I guess the stress of online auctions is getting the better of me ;)

And if the question pops up, the eBay forums, for some strange reasons, don't let me post :(

Hmm - let's talk about something nice. I'm getting my CP first demo on the 8th of March. Is anyone having any great things happening to them? :D

I wouldn't worry about it, most people aren't going to take that 1 negative into consideration if you have 50 positives. At least I wouldn't. Especially since you have the option to reply to his negative, stating what really happened. People like that usually end up making _themselves_ look like asses on eBay.

I had a client who had 137 positives...many glowing. They were selling over 80% of all items posted. One negative....it shows up on top. They have since posted 20 times, same type items and prices as before (an assortment of products) and have had no bids. All because of one post.

You're freaking me out :( It's The One Ring that I've been selling, and just one guy ruined it herself, and tried to weasel a refund out of me. So when I refused, she left a neg. I had left her a postive way earlier for a fast payment - guess feedback for me can wait the next time. Sigh...

Oh well - like I said - anyone has got something nice happening to them lately? I just went to Dome and pigged out :stickout

Wasn't that supposed to have been destroyed in the fires of Mount Doom? I'll be having some stern words with Frodo tonight I think...

My only suggestion is, if you depend solely on eBay for selling stuff online, you will be screwed later. They've already increased their prices a few times, made the wait times for getting listing fees refunded longer and longer, etc...

...Pretty much explains why I was searching for an ecommerce host sometime back, right?

Nope, don't send me offers - I've got a host already :stickout

You're right on that selling on eBay part - the only real bonus of selling on eBay is probably because of all the traffic you get ;)

PS: Anyone tried worldsubmitter.com?

It's complicated - the buyer is a male, but the payer was his mum.

I've been trying to report him for underage bidding so I can get the neg removed, but no word from eBay on this yet... :(
