is anyone here that can explain me what the major difference as customer is between having a dedicated and a shared IP?
As far as I can see IPs are limited due to their nature and I tend to think one should cluster them (using shared IPs) as much as possible so we won't run out of IPs easily.

There are a lot of info if you search the forum. But in short, you'll only need a dedicated IP address if you need to use SSL or anonymous FTP.

Well FTP.... FileUpload can also be done by PHP.
So the only really issue would be SSL, right?
