A search will probably help you alot (top left hand corner of the screen is where you will find the search button.

There is a dedicated "special offers" forum - where people have been posting their offers on dedicated servers, some are around the $100 mark.

There is also a "requests" forum - where you can post what you want and hosting vendors will get back to you.

But most of all just have a bit of a read of the forums and I'm sure you'll find most of your answers.

Good luck! :)

may I ask you which oc connections do ya use? If its oc12+ then why is it just 100gb bandwidth. T1 connection could have 5 servers if each is 100gb space. And oc12 is like 50 t1's.

Let me do the math:

50 x 500 = 22,500 gb transfer

I think ya could offer 1 gb bandwidth for $0.50 and still get few thousands profit.

Anyways good offers I just think I would go with rackshack.net since their servers have almost everything with 300 gb transfer!

do you even know what you're talking about?

do you own an OC-12?, did you know that they cost a couple hundred THOUSAND dollars a month?

So if you pay $200,000 a month for an OC-12, and offer each customer 500GB of transfer for only 99 bucks a month... You'll be out of business in a second... Some providers don't even use pipes that are beyond 60% capacity, so If your using a T1 pushing 500GB of bw, it's going to be as slow as molasses in January.

btw, and OC-12 is about the same as 400 T1's

you're comparing rackshack to other providers, but the thing is they oversell their bandwidth like hell. If there were no rackshack/cogent you'd be paying 200 bucks a month for around 50GB of transfer. But it's quality bw...

Hosts can't offer everything for nothing;)

I've only heard oc3 costs 12,000/mo. Anyways if he has 10 T1 which is probably about 6000/mo then he could offer regular service. BTW if oc3 is 12000 how can oc12 be 200000? Isnt oc12 four time bigger than oc3?

10- T1's = $6000 a month? I don't think so...
OC-3 = $12,000 a month? LOL, I don't think so...

You see my friend, you are in a world surrounded by cheap bandwidth, (i.e cogent) and one day you will come to your senses and realize bandwidth is not cheap!

or maybe you just never knew...:)

Full T1 from a quality provider $1000 a month
Fractional OC-3 from a quality provider - $50,000 a month

those are estimates of course...:)

and I'm pretty sure OC-HOSTING do not own their own pipes

hmm one t1 costs 700/month! Anyways it was for house use because I once wanted to buy one! NOw if you buy 10 t1's I am sure they will lower price from 700 to 600 each! Now about oc12 is somehing I hear since I cant find no prodivers that offer really big fiber optics connections!

BTw rackshack's customers are happy now since they got more tech supporters, and their uptime is getting real close to 99%!!

If oc hosting dont own their connections then why wouldnt they be able to offer good service??? They probably pay half price or maybe even less than half to rent them with other companies! BTW I know bandwidth is not cheap, but for start, You dont need good quality bandwidth!!!

I just want to tell you that bandwidth dont have nothing to do with your site being down or slow! Well if u use up all bandwidth it will be down. But if you have bandwidth your site will never be down cause of that. And speed is not about it either. Speed is about connections, and computer performance!!!:D

Do you really think some hosts use 56k for hosting? I know some hosts use DSL but 56k now, thats impossible. If you disconnect every 5 hours, dont u think your dns would be messed up??
