Do you guys have a thread that contains ratings and opinions on all the top hosts? I didn't know what to search for since every thread will probably contain the word "host".

Is there a genral consensus on the best hosting company?

Was that a dumb question? I don't know because I'm new here. I need to switch hosts (I'm with *****).

You wanna hear the story? I ordered an upgrade of allowable bandwidth over the phone and the girl FORGOT to do it. I was billed $500 for exra bandwidth usage when I was supposed to have had my limit incresed.

There are far too many hosts out there to put into one thread. You might want to check the advertising forums, take a look around, when you find a host that you think looks good, do a search on the hostname. Boolean searches don't work for some reason, so search for hostname, hostname.com, and www.hostname.com

Haha, that's ***** for ya...

As has already been said, there are too many hosts here to be able to put together a comprehensive list of "good hosts". But really, I think that by browsing, and doing a couple of searches on companies you might be interested in, you should be able to find a good web host to suit your needs. :)
