Found this story today from a friend....
http://www.salon.com/tech/wire/2002/02/12/paypal/index.html
Personally, i would like to see the service shut down or go though a major overhall on how they do business, way to many stories of people getting screwed out of thousands of dollars
(i bet paypal used all that in their ipo :) )

Hmm, I don't know, but I've got some fast customer service response just yesterday. I sent a form query, and got a reply in just 10 minutes *gasps*
Maybe they're going to pick up now that they're under public scrutiny? ;)

Wow
That can't be good. Are there any services out there *like* paypal? because if paypal closes that wont be good for me as I am just opening up my business and we had registered with paypal hoping to accept payments with it.

I personally have never had troubles with paypal, but you know, they might not be great, but they have made easy(depending on who you ask) for people without a merchent account(small time ebay sellers mainly and other services) to beable to accept money with minimal problems.

Hey, I've got a brilliant idea...
If you don't like paypal, don't use them!
It seems like every other day someone makes a post about how screwed up paypal is, based on some article that they read, or some rumor that they heard.
Sure they have their problems, people are going to complain. However, the majority of their customers do not & have never had any problems with their service.
