Hi,

Are you pleased with your domain registrar as reseller?

I'm posting this thread, because I'm wondering
am I too exacting, or there really aren't enough good
domain reseller's registrars!

One has disgusting API, other has too high prices,
third - sluggish support etc. ...

I'm curious to hear your opinions.

Very, enom support has always been very helpful even when questioned on behalf of potential clients regarding issues surrounding domain management problems. My account manager is a dream to deal with and knows that because I dont call her often, when I do it's *important* and needs looking into.

Similarly CentralNIC techs have done amazing things on our behalf, and Nominet are especially helpfull

Ah you're after the mythical "perfectomundo-registrar" often talked about, never seen ...

APIs can be built around, pricing is subjective to some degree, support - that to me is the critical issue - we dont expect or want things to go wrong, but we absolutely *must* be able to get issues for clients resolved efficiently - that was the main reason we had to stop using Joker after they broke away from CORE all those years ago - support would take 4 days to answer a critical issue.

Seriously, there will probably always be compromises until you sit down, spec your own systems, sign up with ICANN et al and put us all to shame

Yes, seems Enom remain one of the most stable domain registrars.
I also haven't had serious problems with Enom for 3+ years. :)

Heh ... I know, the perfect registrar doesn't exist, but
hope springs eternal. :)

One of our regional offices had the same problems with
Planet domain - 4 days for ticket response. :) If our
support answers in this way, we won't have any customers. :)
