I run 2 small one man business' off of 2 simple sites. While the sites aren't much to look at, they actually are fairly effective, as they have been the sole source of my income for last 4 or 5 years now:

My current site host's service has been very satisfactory, but they're calling it quits, so I find myself in need of a new host by the first of the year. While I do have concerns about price, it's not my main concern. I need my sites to be up *all* the time, or as much as is feasible. Anything less is just costing me money. And, if there is a problem, effective phone support. Also, good server stats are something I can us at times. Stats page: http://www.pcpieces.com/analog/dallas-music.html

What web hosting is available that will serve my needs at a reasonable price (doesn't have to be dirt cheap--just reasonable)?

Thanks in advance for any help,

Phil Smith

I would say just about any highly-ranked "budget" host would be acceptable. You're not consuming bandwidth or doing anything other than standard HTML. I've been with a company called Burlee for a site that I do similar to this
(http://www.burlee.com) and they give you a very reasonable plan for $12.95 a month. They give you 9-9 phone support 7 days a week too. And they know what they're talking about.

You can probably find cheaper but you also have to consider the reputation of the company. And since you're dealing in big-ticket items (in the music case) you don't want to cost yourself because of a web host that goes down half the time.

My other suggestion for you would be to find a company that interests you, then before you order, ask us to review it. I for one would be more than happy to help.
