We have been trying unsuccessfully for over a week to contact them about a problem with a domain name and they have ignored 2 support ticket requests and 3 subsequent emails for over a week, plus we can never get an answer from them over the phone.

Is there any way to get to them?

We cant transfer a domain name to stargateinc as their system informs us it cannot be done due to an error in the status of the name and to contact our current registrar!!!

The name is possible to manage with opensrs but we cant do that either because we dont appear to have the correct login info!

Anyone got any ideas????

If they are an OpenSRS reseller, you can contact support@opensrs.net and ask them for assistance.

Just read the auto reply, says enquiries to that email will only receive a response if they come from opensrs resellers. Does this mean I am unlikely to get a reply?

Here's the page that you care about http://www.opensrs.org/c.shtml

If you can't reach your reseller, OpenSRS support will ask you to prove you are the domain owner by faxing the appropriate documents to them, and then they will give you the login information and you can correct your contact information.

Once you are the admin contact for the domain, you can transfer the domain.

The owner is the registrant and admin contact, that does not appear to be the problem unfortunately. But that info may still be of use if we need to go to that length to get opensrs to deal with matters. We'll end up providing proof of purchase etc...

Getting fed up, with my own domains I have had to go to those lengths before, now I'm having to do it again for someone else. This sort of thing seems to be the measure between a good host and a bad one.

Transfers away from OpenSRS are not blocked in any way.

If you request a transfer away from OpenSRS, the admin contact for the domain will receive an email requesting confirmation or denial. After responding to this email to confirm the transfer, the domain will be transferred.

I don't understand what the problem is.

Perhaps you can explain it to me again.

Stargate transfer process fails listing problem with current status of name, owner is listed as admin and registrant, name is current and not expired, paid in full.

There should be no problem but apparently there is.

Cant login to srs to manage because login info provided to us is wrong and host is ignoring us as far as we can tell.

Emailed srs asking for assistance but that could be another 2 days for reply coming.

Beats me, what would you do next? :(

PM me the domain name and I'll see if I can see anything that might be awry.

If the OpenSRS Domain Manager interface that the host is running (does he have one on his website for customers?) is fairly new, if you enter the domain name, username and password - and it's in error - you should get a link that allows you to mail the password to the admin contact email address.

If you don't get anywhere, I'll be happy to help with my OpenSRS reseller contacts.

Good luck!

The domain you PMed me is not registered at OpenSRS. It's at TotalNic.net.
