Give Editor a pm on the forum - he'll soon let you know. Lats... Qwerty 02-18-2002, 02:01 AM thanks Lawrence 02-18-2002, 02:25 AM I'm not sure if there are even multiple registrar's for .com.au. http://www.melbourneit.com.au is the one I'm familiar with. Their registration is also regulated with several guidelines and policies. But Editor will know as Lats said. Haze 02-18-2002, 03:02 AM MelbourneIT is indeed the main .com.au people. Everyone else are simply resellers. INWW.com is a melbourneIT company, whom we register our .com.au domains through. I have seen one company sell a little cheaper, however I will not disclose there names as from experience, if you choose not to host with them, they will no longer continue to serve you, they send you directly to INWW.com Choppy 02-18-2002, 03:49 AM QWERTY I too am a inww.com.au reseller, but i have direct links with the company itself... The cheapest i have seen is $140 AUD for 2 years on pm for any other info ___________---- Just a couple more! Lats 02-18-2002, 03:55 AM Are you aware of the forum rules regarding self promotion? Lats... AussieHosts 02-18-2002, 05:39 AM Originally posted by Haze MelbourneIT is indeed the main .com.au people. Not any longer. auDa are well established as the administrative body for our ccTLD now. They've put a number of test-bed Registrars in place, and we had the opportunity to undercut the old MelbIT price recently when our provider introduced them but the decision was made to put that off until March because the amount would have been fairly insignificant and it could have possibly raised a few eyebrows. It'll be interesting to see what March and beyond will bring. I think we're in for some fun times with our .au domains. Cheers Gary Haze 02-18-2002, 07:14 AM Did I hear that right? .au? as in no longer .com.au? I remember hearing a while back that MelIT would no longer be used.. but nothing since, and didn't have much info at the time anyways, other than they failed some basic tests or something along those lines. Anywho.. "I'm Excited!" :) AussieHosts 02-18-2002, 07:26 AM http://www.auda.org.au/docs/ Start from the bottom up - 26/6/1999 - happy reading. :-) Cheers Gary TJamesB 02-18-2002, 10:42 AM This one seams to be cheapest I've seen http://www.aunic.com.au/pricing/aupricing.htm Best of luck Mr T AussieHosts 02-18-2002, 11:09 AM You forgot the smiley TJamesB.....:) You were joking...right? Cheers Gary TJamesB 02-21-2002, 10:48 AM Sorry all , Gary as you pointed out I got it all wrong. I misread the pricing deals from Aunic. Long hours & long days has that effect on me sometimes :) Cheeers Trav P.S. Did I use the wrong smiley? webarama 02-26-2002, 04:59 PM Originally posted by Qwerty Hi, Anyone know where I can find the cheapest registrar to register a com.au domain? thanks http://webaccess.com.au/domain_names/ - $121.00 including GST - I have not found any cheaper anywhere. |
