My domain is with Network Solutions...it's the domain at the end of this message. What is CLIENT TRANSFER PROHIBITED, and how do I get this removed? I assume this is due to the .org changeover. What have other people done in my place?

In my position, it's even more difficult as the email address associated with the domain is my old employer, who is out of business now. Thus, I can't respond to any change requests. I'd like to get out of NetSol...this domain has just been languishing unhosted for a while now.

Can you not log in to NetSol and change the contact information? Assuming not, you have an invalid e-mail address and have lost the username and password. I'd say your only option is to contact NetSol to try to see if they will help you out.

Client transfer prohibited is either a registrar lock or registrar hold. To get rid of this, disable "domain protect" from inside your netsol console, or in the hold situation, it is probably expired, so you will have to renew.
