If your planning to pay $50 to $80 then plan not to have a server at all. As finding a reliable provider/server at those prices is impossible. I would suggest a VPS virtual private server.

What are you doing that you can't do with a large hosting account on a shared server (virtual hosting / shared hosting.) You can get quite a bit of disk space and bandwidth for $50-$80 on a shared plan. Do you need root access? Are you doing advanced programming, or something very very CPU intensive?

If you need a dedicated server on a budget, look at RackShack ($99/month) or the offer from sailor of dv2/tranxactglobal in the special offers forum at the bottom. I would also list lightone who offer a similar deal, but it appears there are some major problems getting in touch with them, and nothing is worse than having a server with a host who you cannot contact in a reasonable amount of time if there is a problem. (note that I do not have any experience with ligthone - I'm just going by what I read in these forums from other customers.)
