Ok I am now down to two choises;
mshost. I like the forum support they have,
so does spashhost,
not making it easier.

Question on dedicated IP address. Can all users get their own, or how much will it cost me to offer this to them?
Is it safer for as host? Regarding spamers who might get us, the hostins server in trouble?
Ok it might seam an easy question to you but I want to cover all bases here.
I have seen on more that offers the same but for 19.99 can this be possible?

Dedicated IP addresses are only _really_ needed for SSL Certificates, or anonymous FTP - they have little to do with safety.

You would have to contact SplashHost / MCHost individually to clarify on pricing.

If you are using ProFTPd (standard on Cpanel servers) it can actually handle anonymous FTP without a dedicated IP address.

1 - with mchost.com it's $5 / month for 10 ips. (in addition to the two you already get for nameservers)
2 - you need an ip (as far as I know) for your own certificate, anonymous ftp. Regarding spam, if someone spams from a shared IP and that ip is being filtered, then that also includes you.

Hope that makes sense...

I'm not sure how much (if you can get any at all) with splashhost. Ask alan.

No Problem. I just recently found that out myself. Basically just use anonymous@domain.com as the login.

That is what I mean about a shared IP. doesn't seam to much for 10. Some times it is beter safe then sorry.

Also, if anyone uses a filtering software like Websense (common at many companies) and if a website is marked for blocking, then any and all sites sharing that IP address will be blocked as well.
