I see their site still alive. I sent them a request for a merchant account and they responded by asking me to call them!

Yes, paysystems just offers merchant accounts now, since their third party went out the window.

Their site never really was offline. They started pushing their merchant account business before they shut off the 3PP.

Correct, their 3rd party processing collapsed

Don't know about you all, but I trust them completely (not!). They stole funds from many of us (myself included), so any one that goes with them should be extremely cautious...(although going with them could be considered incautious, if you think about it).

Anyone joining Paysystems must realise what a dirty conniving lot they are.
They literally stole massive amounts of money from hundreds of online vendors all over the World, nay thousands would be far nearer the mark.
Anyone stupid enough to sign up with them needs their head examined.

Yes I agree with that. What they did was terrible. I would stay as far away as possible from them.

It works as follows:

holdback - your mystery fine = you owe them money.

Matt, I do not know if we have been fined as they locked us out of the Merchant Board last August.I do know that we never had a chargeback, but they probably invented something to fine us with!

Also there has been no news on the legal line as many in this forum were going on that course, we thought that the legal way would probably be a waste of more money, you know throwing away good money after bad. What they owe is about $2000

After the last problems with these clowns I thought they fell off the face of the earth!

how much do you think they paid for chargebacks ?

trinitron

If it is true they realy went down with there 3PP, because of to many chargebacks or VISA/MC regulations and REALY have become frozen there funds.

They would not be able to become a PSP or merchant account provider anywhere.

Exception from this is, if they have made a deal with another PSP to process there clients through them.

Time will tell how the story ends.

We started receiving holdback money this week. Has anyone else seen any?

Wow,

How did you receive the money. Did they just transfer it to your account? Had you talked to them recently?

A deposit showed up on Monday and one again today. I have not had contact with them in months.

We actually were moved to one of their merchant accounts just before they shut down third party processing, but our old reserver was still held in the third party account.

We canceled our new merchant account with them about 4 months back as we had previously moved to authorizenet.

The transaction is listed in our bank account as the following:

PAYSYSTEMS RSV REL along with a transaction number.

wierd,

Was it just a weekly holdback release, or a lump sum?

It was a weekly release, not a lump sum.
