Is there a way I can do the following:

Have page http://www.my.com/test/index.html

Have domain testindex.com direct TO that above page?

Yes, just sign up for a redirection service.
Most registrars or DNS providers have this functionality.
Go Daddy includes it for instance.

http://www.mydomain.com is a free DNS service and also supports domain redirection.

You can do that via index.html redirection code... or go in via control panel (cpanel) and edit it

Thanks for the advice - I'll see if that can be done. It's for a website at work and the problem is the person who can edit the domains and bought the host space is one of those people who thinks FrontPage is wonderful.

Well, apparently that's not an option - the place he used only has webmail, ftp, stats, bandwidth and email options under their 'control panel'.

Hopefully the company will finally decide to do web service like this in house as it's something I know a little more about than this guy!

Yeah - and he also has a website design business...

Ok, I'm not that advanced with HTML (I had code everything and just do HTML, not really any java, css, etc.) and even I know the FrontPage is even worse than whatever Yahoo uses for the people who don't know what an HTML tag is! ;)
