Take that, Osama bin Laden.
Monday Representative Rich Stanek introduced a bill in the Minnesota House that would put bin Laden's image on a state lottery scratch-off ticket. Players would discover any winnings by scratching off "and thus obliterating," -- as the bill notes -- bin Laden's face.

Sixty percent of the proceeds would go to anti-terrorism efforts.

Stanek is a Minneapolis police officer who is also pushing for a broad new state security plan. It has a price tag of 25 (m) million dollars to pay for training and equipment, although the state's budget deficit has cut into funding.

Stanek says he's gotten nothing but positive reactions to the bill.

Mr. Stanek needs to take some time off...

heh..

the winner of dumbass idea of the week goes too......

Rich Stanek - cop on the beat and part time politician. Granted it's a headline grabber, but it's one of the more idiotic knee-jerk reactions I seen in a while... :)

Like bin laden doesn't get enough press time already. Now he can tell the Arab world that even the Americans are starting to put his portrait on things. This is just plain old stupid in my opinion!!

I wonder what Jesse 'The Body' Ventura thinks of it all :D

Seems like an interesting state to live in, if nothing else. Any locals here?

So is Mr Ventura doing a good job? He got a lot of press at the start, but since then I haven't heard a peep about how well he's actually performing

That could mean a couple of things.

1. He is doing a good job and nobody has any complaints
2. He stinks and nobody has the b@lls to say it publicly in fear of getting body slammed.
3. Nobody really cares

No offense appletreats, this is just a for fun post :D
