I am about to select my first non NT host, as I have decided to move away from ASP to PHP.

Initially I will be hosting a couple of sites for small businesses that I know. They will be low volume and not very large at all.

I have narrowed my selection down to the following two companies :

http://www.tera-byte.com
http://www.hostmatters.com

Does anyone have any information to helpme choose one over the other.

Thanks.

they are both great comapnies, tera-byte is a little bigger size company and I havent seen aanyone be able to beat tera-bytes bandwidth allowances. hostmatters is run by two fine ladies that know their stuff and I have never seen one legitimate complaint about them.

Both companies have gotten raves, it is going to come down to personal choice.

From everything I have read and seen including researching both companies intensively you can just pick whichever will give you the best deal. I am with Tera-byte and very happy. I would suggest you e-mail each and ask if they will allow you to have a static IP for each of the small businesses on one account say the plan 4 of Tera-byte and the bronze with Hostmatters. My guess is Tera-byte will not go for this but Hostmatters might. If you have to get 2 seperate accounts go with Tera-byte plan 3 for both and save a few dollars over Hostmatters price.

Decided to use Hostmatters - setup has been smooth and everything is looking fine at the moment.
