Hi there... my host provided me with Fantastico. The forum installers worked great and I'm up and running with phpBB on a couple different sites... but now I want to try out their content manager/site-builder apps for one of my pages.

They have about ten or so of them to choose from (I'm assuming it's a standard list, but I can list them all if you need me to) and I have no idea which one to use...

Could someone give me some suggestions on which ones are better or which ones are geared more towards certain things.

The site I'll be using it for is simple. It doesn't need to be updated very often, but I'd like it to look fairly "modern"... so maybe a content manager with a decent selection of templates or something (???).

Check out opensourcecms.for details on all of the above.

I highly suggest Mambo. Won best open source software of 2004 at the Linux Users & Developers Awards, and has move leaps and bounds since then.

It will really depend on what you need, opsourcecms will help you out.

If your site isn't going to use a forum (or you intend to use phpBB but not integrate it with the main site) use Drupal, it's extremely expandable.
