These "newbies" with 1 to 5 posts who post new threads and asking questions regarding a website. Supposedly asking for other members opinions. I think these newbies are just advertising their own online stores masking as a question or query topic.

Well there probably is some in the crowd but you cant judge every new comer that way.

Yes. There are new members every day. And most are here looking for help. Best thing to do is to answer their questions. :)

I'm new, yet I'm not here to promote my website. I'll try to be an active member of the community. :)

Yup, then WHT can be nothing but resellers and hosts bashing each other, do whois lookups, and argue over whose domain was just registered. Oh wait, thats almost what it is anyway.

Note: That's known as sarcasim, with a hint of truth.

Newbies we need, how will our industry grow even more!? We will guide them knowing that we have helped a newbie out, and they will come back and say, hey "soandso" from WHT helped me start my biz, and I am so happy I found this community. WHT isn't just bunches of people bashing eachother, it's customers, hosts, and industry insiders/followers helping people!

One thing I dont like about newbies is their reviews/posts like:

"-------- Warning Number 1" or " -----hosting Sucks "

A lot of bad things seem to happen to them

Perhaps they should just ban people with 1 - 5 posts. That makes it tricky getting to 6 posts, I admit, but apparently there's a small quantum probability that someone could actually appear on 6 posts. Just give it a few billion years.

I can tell you there are also some suspicious oldies at the moment. Post count doesn't appear to have a bearing on suspicion ;)

Well personally I try to be as suspicious as possible, even to the point of wearing a monocle and and owning a fluffy white cat, but the mods/admins here should be thanking the suspicious members (by way of giving out money, preferably) for keeping them in a job.

I take it I can expect a cheque in the post?

;)

how exactly do you define a newbie? A person with less than 50 posts or a person that hasn't been a member for more than a couple of weeks? or both? :D I guess the definition is kinda important as well..

<---- Noob for life

Even after I get 10,000 post, have been a member here for 5yrs or more, and even if my company becomes #1 .... I want to always be known as a noob.

Because as soon as I'm remembered as one of the pros here, everyone will hold me to higher then normal standards & I will be expect to be flawless, if not perfect.

I'd rather just be known as a noob & human, so should I error; it will not be thought as some kind of taboo or sin..

Hello Friends,

Like most of guys here said should ban newbie, I do not find it comfortable as I am newbie who would like to learn things out from experianced personalities which is a lot helpful to me and other newbies.

Most of posts are helpful and clears lots of doubts as this is source for guys like us to get a good clearification and honest reviews on services we plan to go ahead for it.

onces again thanks to this community and would like to stay and share my experiances too.

Thanks

Number of posts doesn't indicate a level of skill in a particular area. It only indicates how long someone has been hanging out here, not how much real experience they have. Of course, listening to people who know what they're doing and asking good questions, does increase knowledge in a particular area.
