Hello,
Not sure if this should be in web design or running a hosting company so we'll try it here.

Our company has grown substantially and we are finally ready to create our new site. We provide quite a few services mostly on a local level.

Step one here is to settle on a site map. Here is what I have started. My biggest questions lie in where to put items such as reseller hosting (by itself , under hosting, or under outsourncing). Also weather I should have support under my account or in it's own category. (we use modernbill and eSupport so they can access the system standalone or via cpanel login or via mb login). One other concern is if Merchant Accounts should be solo as a main button or listed somewhere deeper in the menu.

I had other ideas as to have it more simple with a "Services" type button or even a "Retail" and "Wholesale" product buttons.

Please post any ideas or suggestions for how to set up navigation. I'm guessing there will be at least one but probablly 2 submenus under the main items. Also please let me know if you have any questions regarding the depth of the services we offer.

Thanks again,
Jesse

Thanks for the reply.. well you have definately come up with a more simple solution. My main concern is that you have not grouped outsourcing seprate. To explain our company a bit further we do a lot of subcontracting for other design firms at a discounted rate along with providing design on a retail level. Furthermore Design is our most marketed product so I think I want it shown on the same level as hosting or dial-up. I would amost rather see it reversed in more of this fashion if we simplify:

Web Design
Services
-Hosting
-Domain Registration
-Dial-up

Not sure though ... that's why I'm here :D Thanks for your input! Anyone else?

Oh.. one more thing.. I do like how you simplified My Account and Support.. just wondering if I should have a standalone support link. Also maybe a cpanel login?

depends on what kind of support you wish to offer ? if you only want the clients to contact you with their problems via the ticket system you could have:

My Account.
-Cpanel login
-Billing Login
-Contact Support (ticket system)
-FAQ

And maybe a support/faq for un-signed/future clients.

Yeah you really have to make up with yourself what things are important for your company, they should have a "head category"

Well my fear with having "contact support" located under my account is that the client will head over to "company > contact" and call us from there. I suppose I could have a big sign pointing them over to the FAQ and ticket system in the contact. On the other hand I may have our number in the header somewhere which makes it even more difficult. As we want to encourage contact for Design Sales specifically but want to encourgage our clients to use support in a FAQ, Ticket, phone type order.

Hmm.. this presents more issues. Maybe I am making to big of a deal out of this.
