Defender Hosting is currently looking to hire additional full-time support engineers.
The ideal hours would be day time (EST) to assist in handling escalated issues from our NOC staff and customers, which are typically Level 2 and Level 3 tickets. Candidate can work from remote location(s), but must have reliable Internet access and be responsible and available during hours of employment that are agreed upon.
The candidate must be a self starter, and have prior support experience for an ISP or Hosting Provider, if you require micro-management; this isn’t the job for you. We are looking for engineers with the following experience, from an installation level as well as a level 2 or 3 support and problem solving role, no level 1 engineers or outsourced firms please.
- Linux OS and applications (apache, PHP, MySQL, IPtables, etc)
- cPanel, Plesk, DirectAdmin, ClientExec
- Fantastico and Rvskins
- Virtuozzo VPS Linux and Windows experience is a major plus
Salary will be based on experience and performance, with monthly bonuses paid to top performing engineers.
