Although the site doesn't look very professional, go to http://www.billadmin.com It is run by site5.com (VDI) and it has excellent functionality, works wonders for my billing.

We are very close on finishing our custom made billing solution. It was made around the RAQ3, with Postgres and Perl. Because i am not a software developer, I can not put in any other features then whats already in it. You can work with the makers and add it yourself. other then that, i spent alot of money on this software and i just want to share it with other companies in the same boat as me. I been doing web hosting now for 5 years and this fits me just right.

I figure the price will be around $400.00 to $500.00 per license

What it does

-Based on Postgress and Perl
- When setting up initial account, you have the option to bill or just invoice until next due date
- Invoice area is customizable
- Sends user a invoice of services rendered and includes next billing date
- Allows users to login and update info (impletmented but needs to fix bug in)
- Allows you to re-run failed invoices (declined ccs)
- Allows you to refund $ back to a cc
- Will send a notice to user if cc is declined
- will be able to view reports etc..
- able to run "one time services" such as maybe doing Maintance or something thats not normally charged
- Able to bill monthly, quarterly or yearly
- Able to put "notes" into an account
- able to activate or deactivate an account (billing side only)
- Able to view past history of account and invoices
- Able to add new services / delete

i know about the Cpanel...but i was curious about how billadmin integrated into it. is it automated? is it manual? is it worth 250 up front and 50/mo?

any info would be appreciated.

Anyone have any experience with FreeSide? It's an Open Source ISP billing solution available at

looks a little shaky.

i demo'd it and i was not really impressed.

i do not know if i would trust it with any serious processing. while it looks configurable, it appears to keep track of things outside the scope of billing.

not sure about this one...

I don't know a thing about BillAdmin, but CPanel3 will soon include autobilling solutions. Also, most of the larger hosts at VDI already have or are developing an autobilling solution. We got one running a couple of days ago, and I know Ultraspeed is working on one too.

Hi Nate

I personally use billadmin, I love the fact that you can setup new accounts straight from inside the program (skipping WHM), and the integration with WHM and Cpanel is seamless.

My customers can check their billing info in cpanel as well (cpanel is liked to billadim database)

you can check it here:

click on "Billing"

Greetings... and sorry for not responding sooner. I have been extremely busy this week. ;)

Please feel free to contact me if you have questions about BillAdmin! CyberCash integration is at the top of the "todo" list at the moment. It already works with authorize.net and signio.

Carlos has a great example of the Cpanel/BillAdmin integration, you should definitely check it out if interested.

matt....

thanks for the info, but do you have any idea when the cybercash integration will be done? i really need to figure something out soon. i am kind of in a bind about the billing automation issue.

is this right?

-250 set up
-50 per month per server

does it work similar to the billing on ala****

thanks...

Nate,

Cybercash is pretty high on the list right now because we just had somebody sign up who is going to be using Cybercash. I hope to get it integrated within a week or two.

Also, those prices are correct. One little note... if a server is co-located at Site5, we waive the $50 monthly fee on that machine.

The system works very much like Alabanza (from what I can tell). I finally got a login to a DSM the other day, and I was astounded to see how alike the systems actually were. If you know how to use alabanze, then BillAdmin should be pretty easy for you to pick up.
