View Full Version : Go Daddy Transfer Between Customers?

Hello,

I am hoping everyone can come through on this tough problem.

I bought a domain from someone on Ebay. He is a Go Daddy customer and so am I.

We cannot figure out how to transfer the domain to me. The only thing we can find on Go Daddy's site is a $19.95 charge and a notarized document.

It has to be easier than this .... Any ideas?

One of the complications is that the domain name is expiring on 2/27 and I need to get it over to me within 10 days.

If I cannot do the Go Daddy route I will have to use an intermediary registrar. IE: Transfer to DOTSER and transfer back to Go Daddy.

If you have any ideas or if you have had to do something like this, please let me know.

Seems like a question for GoDaddy technical support.

You do realize that if you transfer out and then transfer back, you will pay transfer fees in both directions that at least amount to adding another domain year to your new domain. Make sure you do not transfer into or out of a registrar that has other fees associated with the transfer. You will also have to wait 60 days between each transfer per registry restrictions having nothing to do with the actual registrar you use.

Try getting an answer from Go Daddy support in a decent timeframe? It's impossible ... then half the time they cut and paste a script into the answer ...

The money isn't so much the issue as the time. I am going to transfer it out of Go Daddy and wait the 60 days. :-(

Thanks!
